Why we built SafeNeat
SafeNeat started with a parent’s worry. Like a lot of families, we wanted a simple way to keep our kids safe and balanced online. So we tried the parental-control apps already out there, and kept running into the same problem.
These apps gather some of the most sensitive data there is: a child’s location, messages, searches, daily habits. And with almost all of them, the company behind the app can read every bit of it. For us, that was the wrong trade. Protecting your child should never mean handing their private life to a company.
So we built SafeNeat to work differently. Your family’s data is protected with zero-knowledge end-to-end encryption, locked with a key only your family holds. Not even we can read it. It is built and run in the EU, GDPR-native from day one, because where your data lives and who can see it matters.
And we built it as much for the child as for the parent. We do not believe families need a spying tool. They need one that helps: a monitoring and prevention app that surfaces a worrying sign, such as a blocked site, a tamper attempt or an SOS, so a parent can open a calm conversation instead of a confrontation, and that lets parent and child set the limits and rules together. The goal is not to watch a child from above, but to help them learn to stay safe online, with a parent beside them.
